SSI Open Water Diver Course - Brisbane

Becoming a scuba diver is a wonderful adventure and is easier than you think. Our open Water Diver course takes only three days with online learning.

Scuba diving is a unique experience that allows us to explore places that only a handful of people have laid eyes on. 70% of our world is covered by the oceans and as a certified diver, you are able to dive into a whole new world of adventure, beauty and wonder.

YOUR DIVE COURSE

The "Learn to Dive" course is made up of three components: online learning, a pool or confined water session and open water training. After successful completion of the course you will be a certified Open Water Diver and licensed to dive with a buddy to a maximum depth of 18 metres anywhere in the world!

Day 1 - Theory + Pool Session

Day 2 - 2 x shore dives on the Gold Coast

Day 3 - 2 x boat dives in Brisbane or Gold Coast area

**You will need to have your own form of transport to and from all locations**

COST

The cost of the course is $799. The cost includes boat and SSI training fees as well as BCD, regulator, dive computer, tank and weight hire.

• Online learning (done in your own time at your pace)
• Two shore dives
• Two boat dives
• Pool entry fees
• Equipment hire BCD and weights, regulator and computer, cylinders and air, wetsuit

Required Equipment (you will need to purchase these if you do not already own them):

• Mask, snorkel, fins and boots

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• This course is designed for beginners, no scuba experience necessary!
• All participants must complete a Medical Questionnaire prior to the course and seek clearance from a medical practitioner if necessary
• Minimum age 12 years (parent or guardian consent required for participants under 18 years)
• Mask, snorkel, boots, and fins are not provided. Please see our friendly staff for assistance with selecting appropriate equipment
• You must be able to swim 200m without stopping. There is no time limit for this and you may use any swimming stroke(s) you want
• You must be able to float or tread water for 10 minutes, again using any method(s) you want
• Your own transport is required to course locations
