Get ready for one of Brisbane’s most jaw-dropping dive sites! Perched on the exposed eastern side of Moreton Island, China Wall is unlike anywhere else in Queensland. Instead of coral, the reef is draped in golden, waving kelp — a surreal southern-style forest dancing alongside tropical fish.

The dramatic rocky terrain explodes with colour from soft corals, gorgonians and elegant black coral trees. With depths ranging from 16–32 metres, this site is an underwater playground of caves, gutters, towering walls and a spectacular rock arch that’s made for photos. Cruise through schools of reef fish, bullseyes and yellowtail, while trevally, kingfish, blue gropers, wobbegongs and turtles glide past.

Winter takes China Wall to the next level. Calm seas, grey nurse sharks patrolling the gutters, and the haunting songs of humpback whales echoing through the water create a truly magical experience. If you’re lucky, a whale may even cruise past during your dive — an unforgettable moment you’ll talk about forever.

Cherub’s Cave
\Once marked by a tiny concrete cherub, this legendary site still delivers big adventure. Cherub’s Cave is a massive circular cavern (around 20 x 15 metres) with six different exits — choose your own underwater route and explore at your pace. Outside the cave, a maze of rocky gullies, overhangs and hidden caves waits to be discovered.

Pelagics like barracuda, kingfish and trevally slice through the blue, while turtles, gropers and wobbegongs roam the reef. In winter, grey nurse sharks gather here, turning every dive into an epic encounter.

Between dives, kick back on board and enjoy tasty snacks and refreshing treats during your surface interval.

• Advanced Open Water certified

• Must also have a least 20 logged dives and be Nitrox Certified (These dives are undertaken on NITROX)

• If NOT Nitrox Certified you can purchase the Course while booking this dive. The Course is at a Discounted  Rate just for you!

• Dived within the last 12 months

• Comfortable diving from a boat
