Scuba diving is a unique experience that allows us to explore places that only a handful of people have laid eyes on. Over 70% of our world is covered by ocean and as a certified diver, you can dive into a whole new world of adventure, beauty and wonder.

If you’ve always wanted to take scuba diving lessons, experience unparalleled adventure and see the world beneath the waves, this is where it starts. The SSI Open Water Diver Certification is globally recognised and will allow you to dive to 18m anywhere in the world.

Inclusions

• Online learning (done in your own time at your pace)
• Pool entry fees
• Two shore dives
• Two boat dives 
• Equipment Hire (BCD, weights, regulator, computer, wetsuit, cylinders and air)
• SSI Digital Kit and SSI Digital Certification Card

Course structure (conditions dependent, subject to change)

• After booking you will receive a registration link for the SSI platform. Your Online Learning must be completed before arriving to begin your first day of this course
• Friday - Orientation, Theory Exam and Pool Training
• Saturday - Two shore dives 
• Sunday - Two boat dives 

Important information

• This course is designed for beginners - no scuba experience necessary
• All participants must complete a Medical Questionnaire prior to the course and seek clearance from a medical practitioner if necessary
• Minimum age 12 years (parent or guardian consent required for participants under 18 years)
• Scuba quality mask, snorkel, fins and boots are not provided. Please see our friendly staff for assistance with selecting appropriate equipment prior to the first day of this course
• You must be able to swim 200m without stopping. There is no time limit for this and you may use any swimming stroke(s) you want
• You must be able to float or tread water for 10 minutes, again using any method(s) you want
• Your own transport for you and your equipment is required to and from course locations
