Inclusions
- Online learning (done in your own time at your pace)
- Pool entry fees
- 2 Shore Dives, usually conducted in the Tweed River
- 2 Boat Dives, usually leaving from Runaway Bay Marina
- PLEASE NOTE : These dives are subject to weather and we may conduct your course using the Tweed River for all your diving.
- Equipment Hire (BCD, weights, regulator, computer, wetsuit, cylinders and air)
- SSI Digital Kit and SSI Digital Certification Card
Course structure (conditions dependent, subject to change)
- After booking you will receive a registration link for the SSI platform. Your Online Learning must be completed before arriving to begin your first day of this course
- Sunday - Orientation, Pool Training & Theory Exam
- Saturday - Two shore dives
- Sunday - Two boat dives
Important information
- This course is designed for beginners - no scuba experience necessary
- All participants must complete a Medical Questionnaire prior to the course and seek clearance from a medical practitioner if necessary
- Minimum age 10 years (parent or guardian consent required for participants under 18 years)
- Scuba quality mask, snorkel, fins and boots are not provided. Please see our friendly staff for assistance with selecting appropriate equipment prior to the first day of this course
- You must be able to swim 200m without stopping. There is no time limit for this and you may use any swimming stroke(s) you want
- You must be able to float or tread water for 10 minutes, again using any method(s) you want
- Your own transport for you and your equipment is required to and from course locations
