Scuba diving is a unique experience that allows us to explore places that only a handful of people have laid eyes on. Over 70% of our world is covered by ocean and as a certified diver, you can dive into a whole new world of adventure, beauty and wonder.


If you’ve always wanted to take scuba diving lessons, experience unparalleled adventure and see the world beneath the waves, this is where it starts! The SSI Open Water Diver Certification is globally recognised and will allow you to dive to 18m anywhere in the world!

Course structure

  • After booking you will receive a registration link for the SSI platform. Your Online Learning must be completed before arriving to begin your practical training.
  • Thursday 6pm - Orientation, Gear Assessment and Theory Exam
  • Saturday 8:00am – Pool Training and Shore Dives
  • Sunday 8:00am – Shore Dives
Things to bring

  • Your own transport is required to course locations (You will be responsible for taking your hire equipment to & from the shop)
  • A packed lunch & sufficient drinking water. Access to shops during the course is generally not possible. We will have an esky to keep everything cool!
  • Sunscreen, a hat, swimming costume & a towel. 
  • Your own tempered mask, snorkel, boots & fins appropriate for Sydney diving conditions. *See our friendly staff for a 10% discount off gear purchased for your upcoming course. 

Important information

  • This course is designed for beginners, no scuba experience necessary!
  • All participants must complete a Medical Questionnaire prior to the course and seek clearance from a medical practitioner if necessary
  • Minimum age 12 years (parent or guardian consent required for participants under 18 years)
  • You must be able to swim 200m without stopping. There is no time limit for this and you may use any swimming stroke(s) you want
  • You must be able to float or tread water for 10 minutes, again using any method(s) you want
