SSI Independent Diving Course - Adreno Perth

Independent Diving teaches the practice of self-reliant scuba diving rather than relying on the traditional buddy diving safety system.
You will learn about self-reliance, proper equipment, and the special considerations and rescue techniques required to dive independently.

PREREQUISITES

• Over 18 years old
• Minimum 75 logged dives
• SSI Advance Adventurer or equivalent 
  
• Rescue Diver Certification
• Have the following SSI certifications, an equivalent from a recognized training agency, or provide proof of experience by showing at least five (5) logged experience dives in each of the following areas:
  1) Deep Diving
  2) Navigation
  3) Night & Limited Visibility

Inclusions

• Theory Night In Store 
• Pool Session
• 3 x Shore Dives
• SSI Digital Certification Card

Course structure (conditions dependent, subject to change)

• Friday Evening - Paperwork & Theory and Exam
• Saturday - Pool Session + 1 Shore Dive
• Sunday - 2 x Shore Dives

Required equipment (not included)

• Scuba quality mask, snorkel, fins and boots
• Torch, slate, compass, cutting tool/knife, SMB and reel, spare mask and spare dive computer
• BCD and weights, wetsuit, regulator and computer, cylinder (available for hire)
• Redundant first and second stage regulator with an SPG + redundant air source with mount/sling (available for hire)

Important information

• All participants must complete a Medical Questionnaire prior to the course and seek clearance from a medical practitioner if necessary
• Your own transport for you and your equipment is required to and from course locations
