Located half way between Sydney and Brisbane, the small town of South West Rocks is home to one of the best dives sites in Australia. Picture grey nurse sharks, giant cuttlefish, and black rays as well as pink gorgonian corals, turtles, fish, and moray eels.
As we are heading there in June, temps will be low so make sure you pack your layers! Humpback Whales are daily visitors during the Winter months so keep your eyes peeled on the surface as well.
SUGGESTED ITINERARY
South West Rocks is located five and a half hours south of Brisbane and five hours north of Sydney. We recommend driving down (or up!) on the Friday and arriving in the afternoon or evening. Even better, take the day and enjoy the drive down - there are plenty of beach stops along the way you can stop and enjoy! We will be double a double dive on Saturday and another one on Sunday. Generally, we will be done by around midday, giving you plenty of time to drive back up and rest up before work on Monday.
Transport is not included however, we are happy to facilitate connecting with your other divers closer to the date to see if carpooling is possible.

The address of the Dive Centre is 98 Gregory Street, South West Rocks, NSW 2431. When heading into South West Rocks the Dive Centre is on your Right, behind 'Outdoor Adventure' at the end of the drive way. There is parking in front of the Dive Centre.

Bunk Accommodation Details
The 'Divers Lodge' Bunk accommodation is located above the Dive Centre. Breakfast is included and located in the Kitchen it consists of Cereals, Toast, Tea, Coffee, Juice, Milk and Spreads, please help yourself in the morning. Linen and blankets are provided in the bedrooms.
What to Bring (Accommodation):
- Towels and Toiletries - we have beach towels at the shop if you forget.
- An extra blanket - during the Winter months.
- Earplugs - if you are a light sleeper.
- Any additional food you would like to eat. Accommodation at South West Rocks Dive Centre has a small kitchenette for basic food preparation.
What to bring (Diving):
- Copy of Diver Certification - must be sighted by staff before dive.
- Seasickness medication is recommended such as 'Travacalm Original' or 'Kwells' - we don't refund dives missed due to seasickness.
- Dive Equipment - Hire equipment is available if required.
- Spray Jacket - to keep you warm during boat trip and surface interval
