Start your Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty adventure
The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue specialty program teaches you the skills you need to protect yourself and other divers. You will learn how to identify stress, how to prevent accidents and be taught practical techniques to conduct rescues and provide emergency care. With a combination of pool and open water practice sessions, you will become well prepared and confident at handling emergency and rescue situations. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty certification.
First Aid, O2 provider and CPR
All students must have proof of current first aid, O2 provider and CPR training within two years prior of doing the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Course.
This can be added on to your Rescue Diver Course and completed here at Adreno.

Course structure (conditions dependent, subject to change)
- Friday 5:30pm - Orientation
- Saturday 7:30am - Pool Sessions
- Sunday 8:00am - Open Water Sessions
Required equipment (not included)
- Mask, snorkel, fins and boots
- Pocket mask, reel and SMB, and compass
- BCD and weights, Wetsuit, regulator and computer, cylinder (available for hire)
Important information
- All participants must complete a Medical Questionnaire prior to the course and seek clearance from a medical practitioner if necessary
- Parent or guardian consent required for participants under 18 years
- Your own transport for you and your equipment is required to course locations
