The SSI Deep Diving Specialty will teach you all you need to dive to depths between 18 and 40 meters, through a mixture of academic sessions and open water dives. You will learn to plan and safely complete your deep diving adventures and use computers and gas consumption calculations to get the most from your deep dives. Upon completion, you will earn your SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification and be able to explore beautiful deep dive sites wherever you choose. This SSI Specialty is also a prerequisite for some advanced training, making it the next logical step to take in your dive education.

Enriched Air Nitrox

All students must have their Enriched Air Nitrox certification to complete our Deep Diving Specialty Course. If you do not have this certification, you can select it as an extra for only $100 (usually $199).

Course structure

  • Your Online Learning must be completed before the first theory day of this course
  • Day 1 - Paperwork & Theory Discussion
  • Day 2 - 2 x Boat Dives
  • Day 3 - 2 x Boat Dives

Required equipment (not included)

  • Scuba quality mask, snorkel, fins and boots
  • SMB and reel
  • BCD, regulator, computer, and wetsuit (we highly advise having your own equipment when undertaking a deep diving course)
**We highly advise having your own SCUBA equipment when undertaking this course. If you are taking this course as part of a Divemaster plan, you must have your own BCD, Regulator, and Computer**

Important information

  • Advanced Certification required
  • All participants must complete a Medical Questionnaire prior to the course and seek clearance from a medical practitioner if necessary
  • Parent or guardian consent required for participants under 18 years
  • Your own transport for you and your equipment is required to and from course locations
